A native of Saratoga, New York, Andrea has delighted in the warm personalities and warm weather of the South. She has often remarked, “I moved here as quickly as I could”. After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York, Andrea headed for the Sunshine State where she honed her skills as a master chef. From cooking in the Florida Governor’s Mansion to owning her own upscale restaurant in Tallahassee, Andrea’s days as a chef have provided her with true insight into kitchen layout and design. In 1999, Andrea and her husband, Keven, a golf professional, along with their two children, Emily and Kyle, moved to Highlands. Shortly after relocating to the area, they built two homes, and have since been involved in many remodeling projects. In 2003, Andrea decided to obtain her real estate license and she has gone on to enjoy a career which fuses her passion for building and helping a buyer see a home’s full potential with her unwavering commitment to customer service. Andrea’s extensive knowledge of the area and the market provides her clients with the expertise necessary to buy or sell a property with confidence. In addition to her passion for real estate, Andrea has always had a love of traveling. She recently had the opportunity to spend time with her daughter in Bali where they participated in a 2:00AM flashlight hike to the rim of an active volcano. Andrea and Keven also plan group golf trips and have gone to places such as Switzerland, France, German, Denmark, Mexico and Hawaii. While Andrea likes to leave the golfing to her husband, she and the other sightseers enjoy the history, local culture and cuisine each area offers. The Gabbards are actively involved with the Highlands United Methodist Church and participate regularly in the 9:09 blue grass service on Sundays. They invite you to come on down for live music, free breakfast, and a church service that is sure to raise your spirits. And the biscuits and gravy are sure to make you smile!
